I've mastered the debrief

4 days of INTENSE nonstop training has passed where we learned budgets, risk management, environmental education, how to debrief, conflict resolution...you name it, we learned it. We were also HONORED by a visit from SCA's founder Liz Titus Putnam, reminding us of WHY we go through these trainings and risks...to teach youth the value and potential THEY have as well as the value in protecting nature. Tomorrow starts hard work skills training...refining our trail building and learning how to teach trail building.
Attached is a photo of my friend Morgan and I with Liz!!

4 Years Flies!

4 years ago I was a high school member for SCA! Now I'm going to LEAD!

It Starts!

Today marks the very beginning of my 3 years of adventuring as I head to New Hampshire for leader training for the Student Conservation Association! ...shortly followed by leading a crew in Alaska and then a crew in California (no, not with a break in between. Actually with overlapping dates...time to borrow Hermonie's time turner)
